The Sterling Silver Gate bracelet has 5 Bars and is in fantastic condition with a width 15mm and a length of 19cm.The Safety chain is that added protection and assurance for you to wear with out worry.The bracelet comes in the lovely leatherette box in the images.I am not a 100% this is the original box but it really does show off the bracelet at its best.
The gate bracelet has interlocking panels, I have read that the style of the interlocking panels are to represent the gates of English Country Estates and Castles.They often come with the heart Charm that acts as the lock, this is to represent Victorian ideals of chastity and romanticism.
It was very popular in Victorian times to give a gate Bracelet to a loved one, I am sure it is now.
